CATCHLIGHT GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP

At CatchLight, they are harnessing the power of visual storytelling to inform, connect and transform communities. Through the CatchLight Global Fellowship, CatchLight supports individuals who want to cultivate significant audience engagement through inventive distribution methods that will increase the impact of their work.

ELIGIBILITY:

Requirements include but are not limited to:

A fellowship statement that describes how visuals in general, and your work specifically, engage audiences and have a long-term impact. 200 words

A description of the proposed work. 250 words.

A description of how your distribution, engagement and/or impact plan differs from what is happening industry wide now and that identifies your target audience. 250 words.

A plan to gather impact feedback. 100 words

A timeline for the work which can extend beyond the grant period. (This can be broad or specific)

A budget estimate for the proposed work. This budget can exceed the award amount but please note where CatchLight funds would be used

Three topic ideas for sharing learning with the CatchLight community

10-20 images which, if awarded, CatchLight has the rights to use in promotional materials.

Three professional references. Contact information must include email and phone number.

A short bio

A copy of your curriculum vitae.

If awarded CatchLight requires:

CatchLight mentioned as a funder in all relevant project-related materials in perpetuity

CatchLight credited in conjunction with the impact/engagement work in perpetuity

BENEFIT:

$30,000 award

Potential access to additional future funding through the CatchLight Impact Fund

Paid travel and accommodations for the 2025 CatchLight Visual Storytelling Summit in San Francisco.

Personal development opportunities, including executive coaching

WILSON CENTER SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

The External Relations department at the Wilson Center seeks an energetic and self-motivated student or recent graduate interested in digital communication, public policy, and international affairs for a social media internship. The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including business use of social media on various platforms. Interns will be responsible for contributing to social networks, participating in online outreach and promotion, and supporting events.

ELIGIBILITY:

Be enrolled in a degree program, recently graduated (within the last year), and/or have been accepted to enter an advanced degree program within the next year

Have experience or demonstrated interest in social media/marketing

Have excellent oral and written communication skills

Have an understanding of the Wilson Center’s work and mission

Understand how to work and communicate in a nonpartisan environment 

Have great attention to detail

Have in-depth working knowledge of Facebook, X (Formerly Twitter), Instagram, and LinkedIn

Have a basic knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, Buffer, or other social media management tools

Have experience (professional or personal) with content creation, including graphic design and short-form video production

e enrolled in a degree program, recently graduated (within the last year), and/or have been accepted to enter an advanced degree program within the next year

Have experience or demonstrated interest in social media/marketing
